This year Lew Geffen Sotheby’s Randburg are sponsoring the Delta Dash 2017. It is a six-hour endurance cycling challenge that leads mountain bike riders on a series of 5 – 7 kilometer laps through Delta Park; the aim is to do as many laps as you can in 6 hours. The event promises to be an enjoyable day out for the whole family.
There are two different categories that cyclists can enter into: a solo category for those wanting to push themselves and a three-man team event for those who want to ride with their colleagues and friends.
The full day event offers both participants and spectators a wonderful family day out with food, drink and entertainment. The event will take place on the school sports fields, where spectators can cheer the riders on.
Delta Park School is a public school from Grade 1 to Grade 12 for learners who have unique learning requirements. All proceeds from this annual event go to the school and are used for additional therapies, equipment, interactive white boards, and computers and for assisting learners with sporting activities.
Lew Geffen Sotheby’s Realty Randburg has contributed to this particular event for three years and have been a large part of the school and local communities; subsidizing entertaining events as well as improvements for the community on paths used by pedestrians, runners and cyclists. Sotheby’s Realty area agent Adelle Morissey says “ We at Sotheby’s Realty Randburg believe in contributing to local initiatives such as the Delta Dash and growing the sense of community in the area, whilst having great fun together in the outdoors”.
